HVAC Servicing for Return to the Workplace

The public health order requiring employers to allow employees to work from home will be repealed from Monday 14th December. To ensure your HVAC system is functioning at optimum efficiency, it is prudent to ensure frequent servicing is carried out, especially if it has been left unattended or service frequencies have been reduced during the COVID pandemic.

As many of us return to the workplace, COVID Safety Plans are top of mind. An important consideration when thinking about infection control is the air that we breathe. Ventilation has been recognised by scientists and the World Health Organisation as an important factor in preventing the spread of COVID-19. There are adjustments which can be made to the HVAC system in your building which will improve indoor air quality.

These adjustments include:
•    Increasing the percentage of outdoor air
•    Checking temperature and humidity controls
•    Proportional air balancing to occupied spaces
•    Increase air filtration
•    Ensuring exhaust fans are functioning at full capacity
